It is well past midnight. A soundless walk tends to magnify one's senses. To my left is Cambridge avenue, a caving hole of a road, with dimly lit windows glaring back like eyes of nocturnal animals. I heard a buzzing sound and looked up at this light. Every object below it, tree branches, cars, pavement, had an otherworldly shade of green to them.
